Programme Facilitator
Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week)
Monday – Friday 8:00/8:30am to 4:30/5pm
Penrose, Auckland (the role is community based across the wider Auckland region with a Central Hub)
Pay Equity: $25 - $30 per hour starting rate (depending on qualification held and its equivalence to the Certificate in Health and Wellbeing L4) with stepped increase according to tenure up to $31.50 per hour

The Service | Ko Te Whare O Whiti Ora
Whiti Ora is a well-established part of Ember Services Limited that delivers community based mental health programmes from Waiuku to Orewa (and everywhere in between). It provides a range of creative, recreational and skills-based programmes that promote life skills, community integration and preparation for employment with a strong emphasis on health and wellbeing.
The focus of our work is to encourage active participation in group activities that allow individuals to challenge themselves, build confidence, skills and social connections in a supportive environment.
Role | Nga mahi
Programme Facilitators develop and facilitate groups and provide one-on-one support, as required, that assists an individual in their recovery from their experience of mental health challenges.
The primary focus of this role is to encourage belonging and connection through meaningful community engagement, to support learning and growth, and to support tāngata whaiora to build healthy relationships and improve health and wellness.
We encourage facilitators to use their own unique skills and interests to develop meaningful activities that will contribute to the outcomes described above.
You will have | Nga Pukenga
A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or equivalent
The ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective.
A professional attitude and strong boundaries and ethics.
Experience working in the area of mental health
A Full NZ Drivers Licence
A valid and current work visa, residency, or citizenship
A passion for walking along side those in need and supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery.
Knowledge and interest in facilitating cultural programmes and/or Rainbow (LGBTTQIA+) programmes will be an advantage.
