Registered Health Professional: AOD Clinician, Counsellor, Nurse, OT, Social Worker
- 12 month Fixed-term, Full-time (40 hours per week) until January 2027 (parental leave cover)
- Working hours as per rotating roster of AM/PM shifts (service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week - no overnight shifts required for this role)
- Service hub is located in Rototuna, covering the Waikato region
- Pay is dependent on registration and experience (where pay equity agreement is in force, pay is in line with pay equity as funded for NGOs)

Our Waikato services provide tailored support for tāngata whaiora with high and complex needs, including those referred from adult mental health and forensic services.

About The Role | Nga mahi
We are seeking a Registered Health Professional — this could be an AOD Clinician, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker — to join our multidisciplinary team. You will plays a key clinical role within the service, working alongside community and peer support workers to ensure safe and effective care. This role involves:
- Providing holistic, person-centered support using recovery and strengths-based approaches
- Working collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team and community partners as you support tāngata whaiora to regain independence and reintegrate into the community
- Conducting assessments, developing and implementing support plans, and ensuring safe and effective care
- Bringing your professional clinical expertise to help people navigate challenges with mental health, addiction, and social wellbeing
You will have | Nga Pukenga
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. DAPAANZ, Nursing Council, OT Board, SWRB; required)
- Current Full NZ Driver’s Licence (required)
- A valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship (required)
- A client centred, recovery-focused approach (required)
- Knowledge of mental health rehabilitation and recovery approaches; experience working with co-occurring addictions, dual-diagnoses, and/or cognitive difficulties; and knowledge of Māori health approaches (strongly preferred)
